It's KIRA!

SJ Mercury News: "An Italian accused of killing his California girlfriend after he kidnapped their daughter suffered a heart attack and died on the stand Monday as he testified in court for the first time, his lawyer said. Carlo Ventre, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance crews called to the Rome courtroom..."

Anyone else thinking "Death Note"?

Went to the Can't Stop the Serenity screening in San Francisco last weekend. I dressed up as Kaylee. We were in such a rush to get out the door that we didn't have time to really take pics before the show. Here are the two photos Cristie took that have me in them:

On BART (hence the blurriness) to the theater, with my hair done up and fake grease on my face

Our whole group: Wash, Inara, Kaylee, Simon, River, and Jayne

Real life Final Fantasy

TeamFFR: "We are a group of fans with over 60 cosplayers in over 120 roles in a huge about 4 hour long Final Fantasy Fan Movie. We are working on the postproduction and will release new videos time after time."

Seriously, if I can buy these movies on DVD I would.

Final Fantasy Real ~ Preview-Episode VIII Part 1 (Parts 2 and 3 also available)

Final Fantasy Real ~ Preview-Episode X Part 1

Final Fantasy Real ~ Preview-Episode VII Part 0

The guy playing Rude looks more like Reeve. But Reno casually gives an explanation: "Ah, by the way, professor Hojo's hair-restorer you've used seems to work quite well." ROFLMAO.

I was chatting with Brian earlier and looking through a slideshow of gay celebrities:

me: Ian McKellen's gay
Brian: yup
Brian: Magneto loves a steel rod

I laughed for several minutes.

It's the beginning of Finals Week here at UCSC. I've had eye twitches for the past two or three weeks. I am so ready to be done with school.

The DOA: Dead or Alive movie is coming out in the US this summer. It's one of those films that I have to see eventually, because a) it's based on a video game franchise, and b) Jamie Pressly is awesome.

This review of the movie is probably the greatest film review I've ever seen:

Just like the games, it's all about the *ahem* character development. (Read: "boobs")
