Halloween-ish music videos

The newest band I'm into: Jakalope. I've been a fan of My Pet Skeleton for a while (MPS did the webpages and images for Johnny Hollow), and when I saw that he co-directed two of Jakalope's music videos, I was happily expecting the same creepy surrealism. And got it in these two MVs. (Plus a really hot singer.)

These two videos are as sequential a story as any music videos directed by Vincent Marcone can be.

Radiohead rebels against record labels

Relating to the topic of my last post, Radiohead is releasing their new album at whatever price fans want to pay. Their contract with EMI/Capitol ended, and they are only offering In Rainbows from their website, for download or discbox shipment (the discbox includes CD, 2 12" records, and artwork).

This article also has a nice pie-chart breakdown of CD costs under major labels. (Hmm... do you think the arbitrary price mark-up benefits the artist/s or label?)

I'm not a big fan of Radiohead, but they've earned a lot of respect for this.
