Music, videos, and life

Music I've been listening to recently:

Flight of the Conchords: Business Time, Robots (The Humans are Dead), Hiphopopotamus Meets the Rhymenoceros (rap battle)
Because they are funny and awesome!

Who doesn't get in the mood for some happy KPop once in a while?

The Red Elvises
Russian surfer music!

Hairspray soundtrack
Poppy toe-tapping music. A lot of positive messages in the lyrics. Queen Latifah's ballad "I Know Where I've Been" is gorgeous. (And since I saw the movie I've had a crush or something on Amanda Bynes. WTF?)

Gackt: この誰もいない部屋で (kono dare mo inai heya de)
Gackt is pretty. His voice is pretty, too. Not one of my favorite songs of his, because I'm not all that fond of the children's singing at the end.

Luna Sea: Tonight
JRock. Mucho noise. Good for when I'm in that kind of mood.

L'arc~en~ciel: Trick
Ahh... some good ol' Engrish that I can't understand a word of.

Tori Amos: Strange Little Girl

Troy Duffy: Boondock Saints Theme
I love the movie and I love the song.

Maaya Sakamoto and Steve Conte: The Garden of Everything ~ Denki Rocket ni Kimi wo Tsurete ~
I really like Steve Conte's voice. He did some songs with The Seatbelts for Cowboy Bebop and Knockin' on Heaven's Door ("No Reply," "Diggin'").

Re-watched the P.A.N.I.C.S. series by Roosterteeth (Red vs Blue guys). Shame they only made the four episodes.

In the middle of A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. Reread the first book, read the second, and I'll probably go right on to the fourth in the series once I finish this one. After all, not much I wanna do in this heat.

I've been stuck on Level 21 of Fitz for the past three or four days. Very annoying. I also downloaded a PSX emulator, so I've been replaying Star Ocean 2: The Second Story. One of the best RPGs in my opinion, because of the unique skill system and methods of item creation and weapon customization.

In October I'm gonna be hypnotised. Ain't that exciting? Just made the appointment this morning. Hopefully it'll help with my anxiety; God knows I've tried a lot already, and I've gotten much better, but I've kinda hit a plateau the past couple years.

Flight of the Conchords

I freakin' love this show! Jemaine's impressions of David Bowie (Ep 6) are so funny! And the songs (especially in the pilot) are hilarious! The humor is often very subdued (think "The Office"), and these guys are just loveable dorks.

I have that stupid Flock of Seagulls song stuck in my head. And I ra-a-an. I ran so far away-ay-ay...

I've got a big underground pimple in the middle of my chin. Owie.
